Biography

LMC Pathology Services, a Sonic Healthcare USA anatomic pathology practice, is privileged to include Zoltan Nagymanyoki, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A., as a part of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Nagymanyoki is a board-certified pathologist with subspecialty expertise in cytopathology and molecular genetic pathology.

Dr. Nagymanyoki earned his medical degree from Semmelweis University, Faculty of Medicine, in Budapest, Hungary. This was followed by a doctoral degree, also from Semmelweis, where his research focused on basic and clinical immunology. Dr. Nagymanyoki completed multiple residencies and fellowships following his degrees. He served a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the National Health Center and Semmelweis University in Budapest. During this residency, he completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Gynecologic Oncology. He served a second residency in anatomic pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Following his second residency, he completed two fellowships while at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The first was a gynecologic pathology fellowship, followed by a cytopathology fellowship. His last fellowship was at the University of California San Francisco in molecular genetic pathology. His most recent degree was an M.B.A. in healthcare and marketing from the University of Arizona Eller School of Management in Tucson.

Dr. Nagymanyoki has held a variety of positions, mostly leadership positions. He first took a position at West Pacific Medical Laboratory as their director of research and development, followed by a position as their medical director. This was followed by a position as the director of women’s health services at WestPac Labs of the Sonic Healthcare USA Western Division. Prior to joining LMC Pathology Services, he was a molecular pathology consultant at Pacific Rim Pathology in San Diego, California; the medical director of WestPac Labs; and senior vice president of science and innovation at Sonic Healthcare USA.

Dr. Nagymanyoki has published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts in medical journals such as the American Journal of Surgical Pathology, Cancer Cytopathology, Gynecologic Oncology, and the Journal of Reproductive Medicine, among others. He published a chapter on pregnancy-related disorders in Molecular Pathology: The Molecular Basis of Human Diseases. He has also presented research at annual meetings of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the American Society of Cytopathology, and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, among others.

Dr. Nagymanyoki is a member of the American Society of Cytopathology, Association for Molecular Pathology, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

Dr. Nagymanyoki holds full medical licensure and is board certified in anatomic pathology, cytopathology, molecular genetic pathology, along with a certificate in laboratory management.
